When you're a creator in this industry you meet a lot of incredible people. I met Kari and Bailie at my very first local con. I was extremely awkward, only had one book to sell, and was thrilled to feel like I was a member of any kind of an artistic community. When I came across Les Piggies then I knew it was something I wanted to read, so I awkwardly purchased a book and devoured it when I got home.
We bumped into each other a few more times randomly at conventions over the years, and it has truly been my joy and pleasure to see Les Piggies develop and grow. This is the kind of story not really being told anywhere else, and the sort of thing you should be reading if you enjoy well paced character growth in a surreal modern fantasy setting.
But what's it about? Well, according to them: "Fancy Food & Feral Folk. Les Piggies is an urban fantasy tale where the pigs are surprisingly human and the humans are surprisingly... not. Sam Fox is almost completely human now (save for some extra sharp molars and killer instincts) and a Raven needs her help stopping a Big Bad Wolf."
Pretty cool, huh? Look, Folklore is still going to be on break for a while longer which gives you plenty of time to give Les Piggies a read. Do it. Go do it.
